The One Thing Investors Are Missing About Amazon

The following video is part of our daily MarketFoolery podcast, in which host Chris Hill and analysts Jason Moser, Jeff Fischer, and Joe Magyer discuss the day's business and investing news. Shares of Amazon.com fell 12% after less-than-awesome earnings. The guys share their thoughts on the company's competitors, from Apple to Wal-Mart, and what they think investors should be focusing on when it comes to Amazon's business.

Google and Amazon are two companies poised to take part in an explosion of Internet traffic that is expected to quadruple by 2015! The Motley Fool has compiled a new report called "The Motley Fool's Top Stock for 2011," which highlights a company that's set to profit handsomely from the booming amounts of data flowing across the Internet, no matter which company delivers the video. Quadruple Internet Traffic by 2015 sounds awesome until you look at the Eurozone...

Or America's 9.1% unemployment rate and anemic GDP growth...

Where will this quadruple of people on the internet find money to buy Amazon Goods?

Perhaps Amazon will enter into the Food Insurance business.
