Who Is Taking All of the Other Retailers' Sales This Year?

The following video is part of our "Motley Fool Conversations" series, in which Motley Fool senior editors Austin Smith and Brendan Byrnes talk about their favorite stocks.

In today's edition, Austin and Brendan talk about what retailers can expect this holiday season. The old news, but same news, is that Amazon continues to take a bite out of other retailers' sales. While Black Friday sales rang in higher than expected, it's important not to get too worked up yet since many analysts have noted that this does not necessarily spell higher spending this year. In fact, many believe that consumers simply purchased other goods that they otherwise would have bought later in the year during the Black Friday discount frenzy, effectively bringing down the total holiday dollars spent as consumers hunted for bargains.

If you feel, as I do, that retail will change as we consumers currently know it, then I urge you to take a look at The Motley Fool's special FREE report: "The Death of Wal-Mart: The Real Cash Kings Changing the Face of Retail." You can access it now by clicking here and uncover the best way to play the massive change undergoing retail stores.

The Steve Jobs Betrayal
You may already know that in the final year of his life, Jobs revealed a stunning betrayal — and told his biographer, "I will spend my last dying breath... and every penny of Apple's $40 billion in the bank to right this wrong." What was it that made Jobs so irate — and why could it make a few in-the-know investors some major profits over the coming months and years?

Enter your email address below to find out what made Jobs so enraged!
