The Shocking Losers From the iPhone Revolution

The following video is part of our "Motley Fool Conversations" series, in which financial and economics sector head Ilan Moscovitz and consumer goods editor and analyst Austin Smith discuss topics across the investing world.

In today's edition, Ilan and Austin discuss which companies are the surprising losers from the iPhone's booming popularity. Who would have thought they're the companies that are selling iPhones?

These companies are just one way to play the tech revolution, but there is a better Foolish pick, too. The Motley Fool has just released a free report on mobile named "The Next Trillion Dollar Revolution" that details a hidden component play inside mobile phones that's also absolutely dominating the exploding tech market in China. Inside the report, we not only describe why the mobile revolution will dwarf any other technology revolution seen before it, but we also name the company at the forefront of the trend. Hundreds of thousands have requested access to previous reports, but you can be among the first to access this just-released report by clicking here -- it's free.

The Steve Jobs Betrayal
You may already know that in the final year of his life, Jobs revealed a stunning betrayal — and told his biographer, "I will spend my last dying breath... and every penny of Apple's $40 billion in the bank to right this wrong." What was it that made Jobs so irate — and why could it make a few in-the-know investors some major profits over the coming months and years?

Enter your email address below to find out what made Jobs so enraged!

Excuse me, but are we to take these two seriously? Now that I have wasted five minutes of my life by watching this video, and writing this reply, I will be deleting anything received by the Motley Fool going forward.

Lets start with the telecoms getting totally ripped off by Apple. Hmmm, do you really think that the CEO's of AT&T, Verizon and Sprint do not know more than two guys in pajamas openly spewing garbage? Yes, they do pay high fees to Apple for the rights to sell their phone. But, guess what? It sells like crazy, so they are willing to take a "Cash" hit up front in order to realize long-term profits. When they sell more phones, as in the last quarter, their up-front hit is tremendous, only to be paid off in spades down the road.

Next, they are hopping on the Cheap Labor in China bandwagon? Now I understand why they are dressed that way. Apparently, they just came from their Occupy Wall Street tent before making this video. Give me a break, what electronics are not made in China these days? There is a very good chance that if the CEO of Motley Fool could find two people in China who knew less about finance than these two, they would have outsourced this video, as well.

Lastly, how ironic do you find it that these two characters spend the whole time bashing Apple, and everything this outstanding company stands for, and what is sitting on the desk? Yes, it's an Apple laptop. Wow. I have just concluded that there is more to the name of this firm than I had ever realized.
