Can This 1 Product Save the Company?

The following video is part of our "Motley Fool Conversations" series, in which consumer goods editor and analyst Austin Smith discusses topics across the investing world.

In today's edition, Austin discusses Green Mountain Coffee's (Nasdaq: GMCR  ) new single-serve device. While Green Mountain realized tremendous success with its previous iterations of brewers, Austin doesn't see this one playing out the same way. It's more expensive, accepts a different pod design, and Green Mountain has already saturated the market with its previous designs. Austin isn't overly optimistic about this machine's potential to buoy the company.

Green Mountain has come down from its highs but has likely run its course as a stock for shareholders to love today. The opposite is true of "The Motley Fool's Top Stock for 2012." Our top pick is a largely undiscovered emerging market retailer that's poised to take Latin America by storm. Click here to download it now.

funny....this is what Motley fool said yesterday.

"A growth machine: Green Mountain Coffee Roasters (Nasdaq: GMCR ) grew revenue 102% in the most recent quarter, and the company's Keurig coffee brewers are popping up everywhere. The company's 35 P/E ratio isn't even out of line given that kind of growth."
