An Insult to Warren Buffett

The following video is part of our "Motley Fool Conversations" series in which senior analyst Anand Chokkavelu, CFA, discusses topics across the investing world.

Warren Buffett is known for his advocacy of long-term investing. The man whose favorite holding period is forever has made a fortune on patiently staying the course while others focused on the short term. Now you can buy weekly options on the stock of his holding company, Berkshire Hathaway. Anand considers this an insult to Buffett akin to installing the Sistine Chapel's ceiling on a McMansion.

Weekly options aren't a good option for long-term investors. But for a small company I believe Warren Buffett would be interested in if he could still invest in small companies, check out our free report: "The Stocks Only the Smartest Investors Are Buying." I invite you to take a free copy. Just click here.
