Piper Jaffray analyst Andrew Nowinski thinks that Apple could overtake Facebook as Fusion-io's largest customer as the company builds out its iCloud. Fusion-io's products use a combination of flash memory and virtualization software to improve server utilization, which improves performance and reduces costs. It's interesting, however, that Apple and Facebook are now using Fusion-io's products to improve storage capacity as well. That means that Fusion-io's prospects could possibly be tied to data growth, which we know is increasing tremendously.
