Sarepta Therapeutics was last week's biggest winner, more than doubling on encouraging study results for its experimental muscular dystrophy drug.
Talk about perfect timing! On Monday I singled out InvenSense as one of five stocks under $10 worth buying. A blowout quarterly report two days later pushed the motion-based controller specialist into the double digits. Widening adoption of its Motion Interface offerings by smartphones and tablets finds InvenSense issuing guidance for stronger-than-expected sequential growth in the current quarter.
Gold and copper miner Nevsun Resources struck it rich after announcing increased base-metals reserves at its majority-owned Bisha Mine in Eritrea.
Lumber Liquidators made skeptics walk the plank, posting better-than-expected quarterly results. Net sales rose 20% as the hardwood flooring retailer's stores came through with a 12.4% spike in comps. Earnings more than doubled, blowing past Wall Street's estimates.
Finally, we had Riverbed Technology post encouraging financials. The WAN optimization specialist also posted an encouraging near-term outlook.
