Can Kinder Morgan Grow Its Dividend?

Today, Fool.com's Joel South and Taylor Muckerman look at Kinder Morgan, the third largest energy company in North America.

The company is structured as a master limited partnership, a popular vehicle for income investors. Kinder Morgan pays a nearly 4% yield today and appears well positioned to continue paying, and raising, that dividend for a while.

Joel sees this is as a safe income producer for the foreseeable future and thinks energy-focused investors should put it on their radar today.

The movement toward alternative energy is gaining momentum. One potential opportunity in this field is Clean Energy Fuels, which focuses its natural gas efforts, primarily on trucking and fleets. It is poised to make a big impact on an essential industry. Read all about Clean Energy Fuels in our brand-new report. Just click here to get started.

Kinder Morgan (KMI) is not an MLP. Kinder Morgan Energy Partners (KMP) is an MLP. KMI has a ~4% dividend, KMP's is closer to 5%. Your article needs a bit more research.
