In this video, Motley Fool analyst Brendan Byrnes tells us where the biggest opportunities lie at the moment for Caterpillar (NYSE: CAT) as they look at growth and expansion. The company has been making major investments in emerging markets outside the U.S., particularly in China and Asia Pacific. Fully 25% of Caterpillar's revenue now comes from the Asia Pacific region, up from only 12% six years ago, and with only 3% of the company's revenue currently coming from China. Considering its powerful supply chain and brand strength, this as an incredible space for growth despite the competition. Also discussed is Caterpillar's recent major acquisition, and what this means for the company's move further into the high-margin mining sector.
Some of the opportunities ahead for Caterpillar and its investors.
