News Corp. (Nasdaq: NWS ) announced yesterday that The Daily, a premium app-only news service the company launched in January 2011, will produce its final issue on Dec. 15. In this segment, the guys look at what News Corp.'s biggest problem was with this app: an old-news business approach to a new medium, when all the trends show that the old-news business approach just isn't viable anymore.
