Are Mobile Devices Finally "Good Enough"?

When Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL  ) released the iPhone 4S, many of the complaints about the device were that it simply didn't bring very much new to the table. Was that Apple's fault, or have these devices reached a point where they satisfy consumer needs so well that upgrading each time a new version comes out just won't be necessary anymore? In this video, Motley Fool contributor Steve Heller gives some of his thoughts on why these devices may now be disruptively adequate.

There's no doubt that Apple is at the center of technology's largest revolution ever, and that longtime shareholders have been handsomely rewarded with over 1,000% gains. However, there is a debate raging as to whether Apple remains a buy. The Motley Fool's senior technology analyst and managing bureau chief, Eric Bleeker, is prepared to fill you in on both reasons to buy and reasons to sell Apple, and what opportunities are left for the company (and your portfolio) going forward. As an owner of an iPhone 1, and later a 4S, other than faster processor speed and a slightly bigger screen in the iPhone 5, I'm at a loss on what else they could add to the phone to make it substantially better. Same goes for the iPad. The original iPad has worked well for me over the last two years. The iPad mini give you a much lighter, yet full experience. The only thing I want now is a 20 inch tablet that gives me as much real estate as a retina laptop as well as lets me produce stuff on it, not just consume. Sure, we want thinner, lighter, batteries that last forever, but I think we're quickly running out of ideas.

You will be blown away by what Apple / Tech in general will come out with in the near/mid future!

Remember the head of the U.S Patent Office back in the early 1900's thought they could close the U.S Patent Office soon, because all the great ideas were already discovered! True Story…

Man/Woman-Kind will never quit innovating new technologies to make the old tech obsolete, and today you have zero ability to predict what it will be…it would be hubris to think otherwise…never underestimate the human spirit...

AND, if any company is best prepared to go where no man has gone before, it will be Apple - or the next Apple...

Here's to the Future! And Apple! <;)
