On Jan. 10, 2013, Baidu (NASDAQ: BIDU  ) launched "Baidu PC Faster," a new software security suite aimed at improving customers' speed and performance.

Baidu's security suite includes four tools. First, "Boot Time Manager" automatically monitors your computer's start-up time, and identifies unnecessary start-up items. Second, "Win Update" updates your Windows operating system, while blocking out hackers, Trojans, and viruses. Third, "Cleaner" frees up disk space by cleaning up your junk files, trace, and registry – files that add up over time and may slow your computer's performance. Finally, "Heath Care" diagnoses computer problems.

Currently, the new security suite is offered only in English and Thai, signaling Baidu's push into international and Thai markets.
