Is BlackBerry a Value?

The following video is from Friday's Motley Fool Money roundtable discussion with host Chris Hill and analysts Ron Gross, Joe Magyer, and James Early.

In this segment, BlackBerry (NASDAQ: BBRY  ) ¬†introduced its new BB Z10 smartphone this week. The company also announced that it's changing its name to BlackBerry. The news didn't do much for investors, and shares sold off sharply. Our analysts discuss BlackBerry's future.

Many see Apple as the reason that BlackBerry has watched its market share bleed away in the past few years. There's no doubt that Apple is at the center of technology's largest revolution ever, and that longtime shareholders have been handsomely rewarded with over 1,000% gains. However, there is a debate raging as to whether Apple remains a buy. The Motley Fool's senior technology analyst and managing bureau chief, Eric Bleeker, is prepared to fill you in on both reasons to buy and reasons to sell Apple, and what opportunities are left for the company (and more importantly, your portfolio) going forward. The relevant video segment can be found between 8:15 and 10:29.

Where do these idiots come from? Apple pays for this? Apple needs to find a new venue to get their bashing across as these dummies couldn't get a real job anywhere. Give it up already.

Wow talk about rear view analysis! So because people have been migrating away from blackberry phones they will continue to do so. That is a ridiculous argument. How then did apples iphone become a hit and then Samsung galaxy steal market share from Apple. The BB Z10 reviews are very positive and I think it has a good chance of becoming a hit for BB.

These guys talk, and boy, are they entitled to everything. They want tomorrow's technology today, at yesterday's prices.

Meanwhile, they mostly talk in hearsay. When I hear somebody starting a phrase with "everybody knows that ..." I listen very, very carefully.
