SodaStream Shares Take Off: Should Investors React?

In the following video, Motley Fool consumer-goods analyst Blake Bos extends a warning to SodaStream (NASDAQ: SODA  ) investors. If you recently bought the stock and are riding high off the fact that it has shot up 42% in the past three months, he wants you to know that whether you know it or not, you're experiencing strong internal biases about the stock. He tells us that believing you've picked a winner just because it has performed very well in such a short time frame can be risky and can blind you to the real fundamentals. Blake goes over those fundamentals for us and tells us what the real predictors of SodaStream's success will be, past gains aside.

thanks for your cautionary tips to make sure that a profit doesn't slip away. Any feedback on store checks and if product looks to be selling and is more shelf space being allocated to SODA

Most welcome, as for the product trends recently, I haven't seen any verifiable research and didn't get a chance to the streets myself unfortunately. I've seen a few reports around the web and they've been bullish on the way the product sold over the holidays, but I wouldn't put your trust in any unverifiable reports. My personal viewpoint is to wait for the company to report and get the conclusive results, everything else is usually just noise.

    Fool On!
