American Vanguard (AVD -1.50%) has declared its first dividend of 2013. The chemicals company will make a semiannual distribution of $0.07 per share of its stock on April 19 to shareholders of record as of April 5. That matches its last regular dividend, which was paid in September.
In the press release announcing the move, the company pointed out that it has a 19-year history of payouts to shareholders. These have ranged from $0.02 to $0.14 per share.
The new dividend annualizes to $0.14 per share. That yields 0.4% at American Vanguard's current stock price of $32.81.
