A New Threat Looming for Nokia

Nokia (NYSE: NOK  ) has entered into a contract with Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT  ) to provide the Windows Phone OS for its Lumia phones, but in this video, Motley Fool tech and telecom analyst Andrew Tonner discusses why Microsoft may also be a potential threat to Nokia a short way down the road. He tells investors about the possibility that Microsoft is working on its own phone, the Surface Phone, which could eat into Lumia sales. Andrew tells us what this could mean for Nokia, and what it tells us about Microsoft's drive to have the Windows Phone OS succeed.

Nokia's been struggling in a world of Apple and Android smartphone dominance. However, the company has banked its future on its next generation of Windows smartphones. Motley Fool analyst Charly Travers has created a new premium report that digs into both the opportunities and risks facing Nokia to help investors decide whether the company is a buy or sell. Most Motley Fools bloggers are graduates from mid-level schools with non-technical degrees - journalism, mass communication, .... For example, Mr. Tonner graduated from Gonzaga University with finance degree. Their work experience mostly deal with writing essays/blogs and very limited spreadsheet experience. Most have not worked at major corporations. And most of them use the free and dumbed-down Googlel Apps.

As a result, most of these Motley Fools are hard-core Google fanboys and very hard-core Microsoft haters. Just do a quick survey of all Motley Fools articles -- very hard-core pro-Google and anti-Microsoft.

Bottom line: Motlley Fools bloggers have very limited technical experience and are not qualified to write in-depth technical articles. All Motley Fools articles are stridently pro-Google and anti-Microsoft. You CANNOT trust these Motley Fools.
