United Technologies (RTX -0.90%) has "completed production install F117 engine deliveries for the U.S. Air Force."

So bragged the headline in this week's news on the maker of engines for Boeing's (BA 1.39%) famous C-17 Globemaster transport. But is completing a mission always a good thing? Not in this case, it isn't.
