Sunnyvale, Calif.-based Fortinet (FTNT 0.42%) has a new chief financial officer and a new chief operating officer, announcing today that Ahmed Rubaie has been named to both posts. 

Rubaie comes to the network security specialist by way of business-to-business commerce company Ariba, which was bought out by SAP in October of last year. In announcing the new hire, Fortinet CEO Ken Xie said that while at Ariba, Rubaie helped to grow that company's market capitalization "from approximately $400 million to over $4 billion at the time of the company's sale. ... His accomplishments include driving strong growth and profitability, in addition to scaling large global organizations. Ahmed also brings a very strong passion, leadership experience and integrity to his work, which makes him an ideal fit for Fortinet."
