Ferro (FOE) now has a new man in its CEO office. The company's board has installed Peter Thomas as its chief executive and president, effective immediately. Since last November, he had served in an interim capacity in both positions.
Thomas has also been appointed to the board of directors.
He has worked at Ferro since 2000, when he joined the company as director of sales for polymer additives. Since then, he has moved up the organizational ladder in a variety of managerial positions.
Additionally, Ferro announced that William Lawrence has been tapped to be chairman of the board. Like Thomas, Lawrence had been filling that role in an interim capacity since last November.
