Walter Energy (NYSE: WLT) stockholders won't see a rise in their dividend with the next quarterly disbursement. The company has declared a payout of $0.125 per share of its common stock, which is to be paid on June 7 to shareholders of record as of May 10. That amount keeps the disbursement in line with each of the company's previous quarterly dividends stretching back to May 2010. Before that, Walter Energy paid an even $0.10 per share.
The company tends to pay a distribution every quarter, although it rarely raises the amount.
The current dividend annualizes to $0.50 per share. That yields 2.8% at Walter Energy's current stock price of $17.98.
