AspenTech (AZPN) will be led by a new individual starting this autumn. The company announced that it has tapped Antonio Pietri to be its president and CEO, effective Oct. 1. He will replace Mark Fusco, who according to the firm is retiring to spend more time with his family.

Pietri, a 17-year veteran of AspenTech, currently serves as its executive vice president of worldwide field operations. He has occupied this position since 2007. Prior to that, his job titles included managing director of the Asia-Pacific region and vice president of business consulting.
