Is General Motors (NYSE:GM) really planning to put advertising in its cars?

GM CEO Dan Akerson raised that possibility last week. Talking about GM's plan to include 4G wireless connectivity in most of its cars soon, Akerson -- a former telecom executive -- suggested that it could be used to deliver ads right to the cars' dashboards.
