Ask a Fool: What Would a Cheaper iPhone Do for Apple?

In the following video, Motley Fool analyst Austin Smith takes a question on Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL  ) from a Fool reader, who asks, "Will the low end devices for developing countries help Apple's revenue?"

There's no doubt that Apple is at the center of technology's largest revolution ever, and that longtime shareholders have been handsomely rewarded with over 1,000% gains. However, there is a debate raging as to whether Apple remains a buy. The Motley Fool's senior technology analyst and managing bureau chief, Eric Bleeker, is prepared to fill you in on reasons to buy and reasons to sell Apple, and what opportunities are left for the company (and your portfolio) going forward. Remember folks, Apple does not only sell phones like the companies mentioned. If your going to evaluate Apple, look at the entire company. Cheap PC's killed the PC market and cheap phones will do the same for Android. Companies survive because they make profits.

This guy Austin Smith is the most discreditable author on here. He flips flops on his opinion from day to day.

As an example, just one week ago he wrote an article titled 3 Reasons To Buy Apple, then, just 2 days later he writes another article 3 Reasons To Sell Apple. In today's article he's in the middle.

Advice like this I think I'll pass on.

I'm very surprised he is still being allowed on MF.

Gathering from the numerous comments posted from other readers regarding his last article, it appears my comments mirrored all others.

Where is this guy coming from? Somebody needs to tell MF that he's hurting their reputation badly by his flip, flop opinions. I guess when you write like that at least your right 50% of the time. But for me, I'm staying away from ever reading his articles again.
