Ford (F 0.46%) has done exceptionally well by most measures in recent years, at least here in North America. Sales are strong, factories are booming, profits are big, and the company's finances are in great shape.

But some things could be better, starting with the way Ford launches its cars. Launch snafus bogged down the debuts of the Focus, the Escape, and the Lincoln MKZ, all hugely important vehicles for Ford.
