Intuituve Surgical has issued a note that invisible micro-cracks in certain scissor modules may leak electorsurgical energy and cause thermal injury -- in other words, burn patients. Intuituve emphasized that there have been no confirmed cases of burns from these cracks, even after a million-plus surgeries, but the company will have replacement scissors will be available within a month.

With shares down almost 2% on the news, health-care analyst David Williamson explains why investors should be concerned, and also how Intuitive Surgical could blow past some of the negativity surrounding its stock today.
