Home Depot (NYSE: HD ) reported higher-than-expected first-quarter earnings. Same-store sales were up more than 4% and the stock hit an all-time high. Competitor Lowe's (NYSE: LOW ) also reported a rise in first-quarter earnings but same-store sales fell slightly. Shares of Lowe's also hit an all-time high.
