Real estate investment trust Medical Properties Trust (MPW 2.65%) announced yesterday its second-quarter dividend of $0.20 per share, the same rate it's paid since 2008.
The board of directors said the quarterly dividend is payable on July 11 to the holders of record at the close of business on June 13. The REIT has paid a dividend every year since 2004.
The regular dividend payment equates to a $0.80-per-share annual dividend, yielding 4.6% based on the closing price of Medical Properties Trust's stock on May 23.
