I'm surprised there was no bump up on this news (FSLR at this time is negative, and SPWR is positive but not by much). Thoughts?

    My thoughts are:

Obama is a lame duck President and this sector depends on government subsidies. Meanwhile, fracking continues to revolutionize the US's energy profile despite headwinds created by the executive branch (e.g. withholding pipeline permits). FSLR future in the US does not look positive because eventually it will have to go head to head against natural gas. You can utilize government favoritism to fight against economic reality for a while, but eventually their sugar daddy is going to lose office.

Even if democrats win again. There's no guarantee solar subsidies will be renewed nor their palsy, scratch each others back, relationship with Warren Buffett will be allowed to continue to exist.
