Google (GOOGL 0.55%) added more than 1,000 new locations to its Google Maps Street View feature today -- bringing images of popular world travel destinations to the service.

"From historical landmarks to sports stadiums, these panoramic photos available via Street View can help you ease into vacation mode with just a few simple clicks," the company said in a blog post.

Some of the new Street View destinations include:

  • Marina Bay Waterfront Promenade and Fullerton Heritage Promenade in Singapore
  • Seville Cathedral in Spain
  • Canals of Copenhagen, Denmark
  • Basilica of the National Shrine of Our Lady Aparecida in Brazil
  • The Mark Twain House in Connecticut 
  • Cape Henry Lighthouse in Virginia
  • Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts in Canada
Google said in the post, "Whether you're hitting the slopes in South America or soaking up the summer sunshine north of the equator, we hope you enjoy exploring the world!"
 
The new destinations can viewed from the Street View feature on Google Maps, and are available on Android and iPhones today.
