GE Keeps Dividend Steady

General Electric  (NYSE: GE  ) announced today its second-quarter dividend of $0.19 per share, the same rate it's paid for the past two quarters after raising the payout 12% from $0.17 per share.

The board of directors said the quarterly dividend is payable on July 25 to holders of record at the close of business on June 24. The industrial conglomerate has made dividend payments to investors for over 100 years.

The regular dividend payment equates to a $0.76-per-share annual dividend, yielding 3.2% based on the closing price of GE's stock today.

    Not much of a mystery here--we were in business 25 years and if one or 2 or more of those years we had been able to "pay no taxes" we'd still be declaring dividends

    Yeah, disappointed in GE's management. All the share buy backs have been a scam, as the amount of shares outstanding remains the same.
