Facebook (META 1.54%) has a new toy to show off this week.

"A small team is working on a big idea," reads the social networking website operator's invitation for an unveiling on Thursday, and TechCrunch is hearing that it may be the addition of video to Instagram. It's a move that makes sense given the market positioning of Facebook foes Twitter and Google (GOOGL 0.35%) when it comes to video these days.
