Consumers had long been expressing that they would be dissatisfied with having DRM restrictions in the console, and while initially Microsoft had taken a stance in defense of the feature, the major momentum shifts in favor of competitor Sony (SONY -0.71%) with its upcoming new iteration of its PlayStation have finally pushed Microsoft into this reversal. Did the shift come too late for the Xbox One to regain lost traction?
