Risk manager Aon (AON 1.28%) announced yesterday its third-quarter dividend of $0.175 per share, the same rate it paid last quarter after raising the payout 11%, from $0.1575 per share.
The board of directors said the quarterly dividend is payable on Aug. 15 to the holders of record at the close of business on Aug. 1. The insurer has made quarterly payouts to investors since 1999.
The regular dividend payment equates to a $0.70-per-share annual dividend, yielding 1% based on the closing price of Aon's stock on July 12.
