Hospital chain operator Universal Health Services (UHS 0.58%) announced today its third-quarter dividend of $0.05 per share, the same rate it's paid since 2010.
The board of directors said the quarterly dividend is payable on Sept. 17 to the holders of record at the close of business on Sept. 3. The hospital operator has made quarterly payouts to investors since 2003. It paid a special dividend of $0.40 per share last December.
The regular dividend payment equates to a $0.20-per-share annual dividend, yielding 0.3% based on the closing price today of Universal Health Services' stock.
