Time Warner Needs to Make This DC Movie Rumor a Reality

Source: AMC Networks.

Bad news, DC movie fans. Actor Bryan Cranston of Breaking Bad fame won't be playing Lex Luthor in the sequel to the summer hit Man of Steel.

Fans are now left with the controversial truth that Time Warner (NYSE: TWX  ) has signed Ben Affleck to play Batman in the DC movie sequel, Fool contributor Tim Beyers says in the following video.

More than a few have commented here and elsewhere that they won't go to see a comic-book film starring the Academy Award-winning actor. By contrast, fans seemed delighted at the prospect of having Cranston plot Superman's end on the Big Screen. The blend might have been exactly what Warner needed to turn Man of Steel 2 into a billion-dollar film, Tim says.

Can the film reach that plateau without Cranston? Certainly, Tim says, citing Warner's history of success with controversial choices. Please watch the video for more.

Enough With Lex Luther already! Superman has hundreds of other villains they could use, but Zod and Lex are the only 2 they use. I don't could the super computer or Nuclear man. Maybe have Lex as a shadowy background character but use someone else as the main focus of the film.

It's irony Warner Brothers passes on an actor many would like to see in the upcoming Batman/Superman film and is so deadset on an actor (or 2 if you believe the Bieber rumor) a large majority don't want.
