Shares of JPMorgan Chase (JPM 0.65%) are flat today, even though it was announced that the company may have to pay regulators $11 billion in settlements for issues with mortgage-backed securities. Motley Fool financial analyst Matt "Young Money" Koppenheffer isn't too worried -- he sees this as an attempt by JPMorgan to put all of its issues from the recession behind it.

As Matt points out, the market is more concerned about clarity than it is about the actual amount JPMorgan will have to pay. Although the settlement, if it actually happens, will hit JPMorgan's bottom line, the company's underlying business is running smoothly enough that it will still come out ahead.
