Facebook's (META -0.52%) revised privacy policy shouldn't be generating so much controversy, Fool contributor Tim Beyers says in the following video.

What's the issue this time? Search. You can no longer keep your name and profile hidden from those who may be searching for you on the site. The more shy (and paranoid) among us will no doubt unplug. History still says the total impact will be small, and that Facebook will soon be back to growing its user base.

It's also important to remember what isn't changing, Tim says. Facebook users still get to control who, precisely, sees new posts. The interface may not be as intuitive as Google+, but the same fine-grained elements are there.

Now it's your turn to weigh in. Are you bothered by Facebook's latest privacy changes? Please watch the video to get Tim's full take and then leave a comment to let us know where you stand.
