In today's episode of Consumer Countdown, host Mark Reeth plays a quick game with consumer goods analysts Michael Finarelli and Sean O'Reilly. The rules are simple: The analysts must decide if they would buy, sell, or hold a stock based on a piece of news or information given to them by Mark.
First, Mike must decide what he'd do with Gannett (GCI +0.00%), the struggling publishing company. Gannett is in the midst of buying television company Belo for $1.5 billion, and Mike must decide if he believes in Gannet's future with TV.
Then, Sean has to figure out how he thinks Sonic (SONC +0.00%) will perform in the next quarter. This quarter wasn't too strong due to several one-time charges, so he must decide if he believes Sonic will have a much stronger next quarter.
