ARLINGTON, Va. (AP) -- Alliant Techsystems said Monday that it has completed a $985 million acquisition of Bushnell Group Holdings, which makes binoculars and riflescopes.

Alliant Techsystems, which is known as ATK, is an Arlington, Va.-based aerospace and defense contractor. The deal was originally announced in September. It is buying Bushnell from private equity firm MidOcean Partners.
