First Solar (NASDAQ: FSLR  ) reported a great third quarter, but there are some warts on the company's results. Low-efficiency panels aren't selling out like SunPower's (NASDAQ: SPWR  ) high-efficiency panels, full-year guidance was down, and backlog isn't coming with the same revenue as it once was.

Does this mean it's time to take profit in First Solar stock? Erin Miller sat down with solar analyst Travis Hoium to see how these factors should impact what investors think about the stock.

Overall, solar electric output worldwide is at .075% and to get to that number, output has been doubling for over 20 years, That may not sound like much, but the math says that world solar output will be at 96% by 2027. I don't know anything about First Solar, but apparently it is a company that is in place producing solar panels and could possibly be part of the coming meteoric rise is the production of solar energy. Here is where I am getting my info on this.

This Ray Kurzweil. Scroll the video over to about 35 minutes and hit pause when the first placard on solar appears and that will happen when he mentions solar production. Thank you.
