T-Mobile (TMUS -0.06%) has been on a customer acquisition tear for a while now, adding more than 1 million customers each quarter -- for 10 consecutive quarters.

But offering great deals to new customers has pushed the carrier's average revenue per user down for more than a year, and it's time for T-Mobile to start moving that back in the right direction. A recent investor note from Jefferies suggests that may start happening soon, as the carrier focuses its attention on tiered data plans and device leases.
