Welcome back to another Foolish review of the hottest stocks as ranked by Motley Fool CAPS. We're looking at the three best-performing industries over the past 30 days, and your favorite long and short candidates in each.

Last week and the week before that, stocks of property managers were hotter than a ripe green Serrano pepper dipped in red chile paste. But not this week. This time, we travel from the mountains of Mexico, where Serranos originated, to the Foolish hills of Venezuela. Stocks from this spicy region are up 20.8% over the last 30 days.

Who are the others? Have a look:

  • Second best, for the second straight week, are providers of solar power. Stocks of sun worshippers are, as a group, up 19.6% over the last 30 days.
  • Third best are makers of antivirus software. The business of inoculating your PC from nasty invaders has stocks like Symantec (NASDAQ:SYMC) and its peers up 17% over the last 30 days.

According to you, our Foolish readers, the best stocks in these industries to own now -- i.e., those with four or five stars in CAPS -- are:
