Square in the race to deliver plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs), Quantum Fuel is up against competitors like Johnson Controls (NYSE: JCI), who recently teamed up with Ford (NYSE: F) and European battery manufacturer Saft to power a test fleet of Ford Escape plug-in hybrids.
With Toyota Motors (NYSE: TM) working on a plug-in version of the Prius and many other manufacturers plowing resources into lithium technology, a few more CAPS investors are believing Quantum Fuel may have a viable future. Today, more than 75% of CAPS players rating Quantum Fuel expect it to outperform the market going forward.
