Over on CAPS, fully 110 of the 120 All-Star members who have rated Fluor -- some 92% -- believe the stock will outperform the S&P 500 going forward. These Foolish bulls include TadpolesUS and falcon2382, both of whom are ranked in the top 2% of our community.

Two days ago, TadpolesUS had this to say of the stock: "Now at $40, it's a bargain. Lots of ongoing projects, good management, and a decent dividend."

A pitch from falcon2382 just one month earlier shares that bullish sentiment, writing:

Fluor will surely get a great deal of future US and China infrastructure projects. In the US especially, infrastructure will not only be looked to as an economic stimulus package, but it is actually severely needed. We are talking about 1.8 or so trillion dollars worth of work that is needed across the country -- and that is not even taking into consideration new and alternative energy projects that its Power segment will have access to.

Wow, fundamentals may be good, or even great, but this stock is tracking pretty closely with the DOW.

And that is bad news for the stock right now. Down another 3.5% after-hours (Nov.12)

Support and resistance are price levels where trend will stop and reverse direction. Support describes price where buyers will enter the market to prevent the prices from going down. Resistance describes the price at which sellers will enter and stop the prices from rising.

I would place a limit buy order at 31.90 and forget it. This is a risky buy as we dont know what will happen with economy in New Year. Better to play dips and hold on for market upturn. What are your chances of picking a positive return when 95% of stocks are heading lower? Think about it! If entire world is going down and you have 5% odds, how many times will you be correct when you pick a stock. I thought so..... Just changed your mind about that guaranteed profit maker! Batting less than 50 is not a very good way to win your profits.

Good luck if you choose to go ahead anyway!
