Did you hear the one about the rabbi, the priest, and the insurance salesman who walk into a Movie Gallery (NASDAQ:MOVI) video rental store? Of course not. How often do you see that many people walk into a traditional movie store at once?

Folks are consuming films in different ways these days, and a popular alternative is Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX). With 6.8 million subscribers aboard, the DVD rental specialist has certainly grown up quickly. What about the future, though?

Whether it's cable providers like Time Warner Cable (NYSE:TWC) and Cablevision (NYSE:CVC) boosting their on-demand offerings or the growing number of providers of digital video delivery (even your Xbox 360 is getting in on the fun these days), there are challenges to the superiority that Netflix has enjoyed for so long.

I'm a Netflix shareholder, yet I'm feeling pretty bearish these days. I'm glad to have a bullish Alyce Lomax step up this week to try to knock some sense into me. The Motley Fool Stock Advisor recommendation has been a subscriber favorite for years, so let's see if the community as a whole can help me shake my pessimistic leanings here.

Does Netflix belong in your portfolio? That's what this bout is all about.

Duel on!
