Welcome back to another Foolish review of the coldest stocks as ranked by Motley Fool CAPS. We're looking at the three worst-performing industries over the past 30 days and your favorite short and long candidates in each.

Last week, the fuel cell makers were running on empty, but not this week. Music and video stores are at the bottom of the charts, down 12.8% as a group over the last 30 days.

Ethanol producers aren't doing much better. Stocks of the corn kings and their starchy cousins are, as a group, down 11.4% over the last month.

And flying low in the third spot are the airlines. Carriers such as Allegiant Travel (NASDAQ:ALGT) have, as a group, descended 10.4% since the beginning of May.
