Another Heavyweight Takes Aim at Amazon

The following video is part of our "Motley Fool Conversations" series, in which Andrew Tonner, technology editor and analyst, and Austin Smith, consumer-goods editor and analyst, discuss topics around the investing world.

Drawing ire with its tactics aimed at stealing share from traditional retailers, tech powerhouse Amazon.com seems poised to continue to cut into others' business. However, recently, several established tech firms rallied behind the retailers on whom they also depend for much of their business. Andrew talks about Amazon's tactics and the moves others have taken to stops its relentless advance.

Retail is in its largest period of transition ever. Companies left beyond will be tomorrow's losers while the few exceptional leaders that understand this change stand to see astounding growth in the years ahead. The Motley Fool has created a free report named "The Death of Retail," which highlights two companies hand-picked by Fool analyst that are set to dominate the future. The Steve Jobs Betrayal
You may already know that in the final year of his life, Jobs revealed a stunning betrayal — and told his biographer, "I will spend my last dying breath... and every penny of Apple's $40 billion in the bank to right this wrong." What was it that made Jobs so irate — and why could it make a few in-the-know investors some major profits over the coming months and years?

Enter your email address below to find out what made Jobs so enraged!

Hey, Truth. I posted much the same to one of Morgan's video "articles". He told me that TMF is in the process of developing an eBook based on the various interviews in the "Conversations" series. I hope they post the link soon. (It'll probably be another $0.99 Kindle download from Amazon, I think).

Hi guys - much respect to you, but I believe Amazon's promotion was just an incentive to users to gather pricing data so Amazon could use it for comparison. It's way too small of an incentive to get a tidalwave of shoppers out of stores. Brick and mortars have to adapt and find ways to compete, but Amazon isn't going to kill them off.
