The iPad Mini Will Dominate China

Investors are already banking on seeing Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL  ) release an iPad Mini in the immediate future. This new device has the potential to dramatically boost sales growth in China, which is already one of the company's hottest growth geographies, with $5.7 billion in Greater China revenue last quarter. Topeka Capital Markets analyst Brian White thinks an iPad Mini will take off "like wildfire" because of increasing popularity among Chinese consumers of Samsung's Galaxy Note II. When you consider that the iPhone 5 will probably launch on China Mobile  (NYSE: CHL  ) in the next six to 12 months, investors have two important catalysts to look forward to on the horizon. See more in the following video.

The new Touch spex may point to the Mini spex and features. The Touch is now a lean and mean and sleek machine. So Apple has kept marketing space for the Touch when the Mini arrives. Best guess for the Mini: Less screen resolution then the Touch, less camera resolution, no siri, no passbook. So the Mini will not be as bright, light, useful, or fast. But it will be lighter, brighter, thinner, faster and much more useful than the Fire or Nook. And it will have a bigger screen and all those apps and will sell for $250us to schools. And China.
