The new multiyear deal will bring the U.K. murder mystery The Bletchley Circle to Netflix this fall, followed by the children's shows Super Why!, Wild Kratts, Caillou, and Arthur next year. Netflix will also add documentaries from Ken Burns and previous seasons of Nova and Secrets of the Dead.
Netflix chief content officer Ted Sarandos said in a press release that "PBS programming is both entertaining and enriching, a combination that Netflix members really appreciate."
Jason Seiken, PBS' general manager of digital operations, said in the release that the agreement with Netflix "exposes our shows to new audiences and further expands PBS's presence across all media platforms."
The news comes on the heels of a deal Amazon announced last week to extend PBS programming on its Prime video streaming service.
