In a recent interview with The New York Times, Jed Whedon, Joss' brother and an executive producer of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., said the writing team sends its story ideas to a creative committee to avoid conflicts with anything planned for the cinematic universe. Executives from both Marvell's publishing and movie division are involved in the process.
